Dried Prawns Chutney: With out coconut.

Dried prawns: 1/2 cup.
Red chili - 4 or more depends on your tolerance level.
Shallot, if not red onion- 1/4 cup sliced.
Garlic flakes- 1
Ginger - 1/2 teaspoon (sliced)
Curry leaves - 2 or 3
Tamarind pulp - 1/2 teaspoon or a tiny from that square stuff u get ..:)
Salt
Oil
Hing (a pinch- optional)

1.Deep Fry onion, ginger, garlic,dried red chili and curry leaves for 3 minutes in medium hot oil or till they roast.
Remove from heat.
2.Fry the shrimp/prawns.
Allow this to cool.
3.Grind well with salt. Pour the remaining oil on top and serve hot or cold. Enjoy.

Mint coconut date chutney

Mint coconut date chutney:
Shredded coconut - 1/4 cup
Dates- seed less- 2
fresh Coriander - few or mint sauce - 1/4 teaspoon
Ginger - 1/2 teaspoon
Red-chilly powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Tamarind paste - 1/4 teaspoon, or bit tamarind/ curd -1 tablespoon / lemon juice -1/4 teaspoon (One please, not all)
Salt
Warm water - 3 tablespoon
Pinch of sugar
Dry Fried cumin -1/4 teaspoon (optional)

Method:

1. Grind everything together and serve. If you add 1/2 cup of curd to this and 1/4 pepper powder you can make this as a fab chutney for Biriyani also a nice dip for french fries..Oops do I need to mention masala dosa
