Dried Prawns Chutney: With out coconut.

Dried prawns: 1/2 cup.
Red chili - 4 or more depends on your tolerance level.
Shallot, if not red onion- 1/4 cup sliced.
Garlic flakes- 1
Ginger - 1/2 teaspoon (sliced)
Curry leaves - 2 or 3
Tamarind pulp - 1/2 teaspoon or a tiny from that square stuff u get ..:)
Salt
Oil
Hing (a pinch- optional)

1.Deep Fry onion, ginger, garlic,dried red chili and curry leaves for 3 minutes in medium hot oil or till they roast.
Remove from heat.
2.Fry the shrimp/prawns.
Allow this to cool.
3.Grind well with salt. Pour the remaining oil on top and serve hot or cold. Enjoy.
